This announcement replaces the previous Interim Management Statement. 
 
1.         Net Asset Value 
 
·     Ordinary share net asset value (NAV) of 90.29p at 31 March 2010 
 
·     S Ordinary share net asset value (NAV) of 96.36p at 31 March 2010 
 
The NAVs shown above are unaudited and reflect the closing bid prices of quoted 
securities at 31 March 2010. Unlisted companies are normally valued on a 
six-monthly basis and the NAVs include the Directors' valuations of unlisted 
investments as at 31 December 2009 adjusted for material developments within the 
portfolios since that date. 
 
2.         Investments and disposals 
 
During the quarter ended 31 March 2010, the Ordinary share portfolio invested 
GBP354,739 in unlisted investments. During the same period, disposals generated 
aggregate proceeds of GBP194,825 against cost of GBP126,460. 
 
The S share portfolio invested GBP289,362 in unlisted investments during the 
same period, and generated aggregate disposals proceeds of GBP178,610 against 
cost of GBP104,963. 
 
There were no other material transactions during the period under review. 
 
3.         Issue of shares 
During April 2010, and as previously announced, the Company allotted a further 
676,899 Ordinary shares at 89.5p per share pursuant to the Maven Income and 
Growth VCT Offer. 
 
4.         Recent developments 
Since 31 March 2010, further disposals generated proceeds of GBP34,806 for the 
Ordinary share portfolio and GBP39,820 for the S share portfolio against costs 
of GBP22,752 and GBP22,236 respectively. 
 
The Board is not aware of any other events or transactions that have taken place 
between 31 March 2010 and the date of publication of this statement and which 
would have had a material impact on the financial position of the Company.
