                                     Update

Spectrum Interactive plc (SIN:LN), the public internet and payphone operator,
announced on 21st September 2007 that it was looking at a number of acquisition
opportunities and was in advanced discussions with one such company. Accordingly
it held an extraordinary general meeting in order to increase the authorised
share capital and to increase the directors' authorisations to allot shares. The
Company would now like to announce that whilst it continues to look for
acquisition opportunities, discussions concerning the particular opportunity
referred to above are no longer taking place.
