Business Wire
Winthrop Realty Trust, announced that it signed a new lease with
Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc. for the 3-story, 54,000 square
foot 1050 Warrenville Road, Corporetum Office Campus, in Lisle, IL.
It is located less than 30 minutes southwest of OHare
International Airport and approximately 40 minutes west of downtown
Chicago. Acquired by WRT-1050 Holdings LLC in early 2006, it had
been previously vacant for five years. Ryerson, a leading
fabricator and distributor of steel products, leased the entire
building under a long-term agreement. Jay Stewart, formerly of
Trammell Crow, now with Grubb & Ellis, represented the tenant
Ryerson in the transaction. Despite the propertys extended
vacancy, the 1050 buildings infrastructure offered Ryerson, as
sole occupant, the ability to engage its worldwide data center, as
well as provide first-class office space and incredible I-88
identity for the company. Both Winthrop and Ryerson were able to
capitalize on the buildings attributes and exploit the tightening
current market conditions, said Dru Shoemaker, Leasing Agent for
J.F. McKinney, who represented the building on behalf of Winthrop
Realty Trust. About Winthrop Realty Trust Winthrop Realty Trust
