Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) Chief Executive Howard Schultz said Wednesday that 100 of his fellow CEOs have signed on to his campaign to suspend political contributions to incumbent national officials in a bid to get leaders to work together on reducing the U.S. budget deficit.

Schultz launched a website this week to promote his campaign. Nasdaq OMX Group Inc.'s (NDAQ) Robert Greifeld, AOL Inc.'s (AOL) Tim Armstrong, NYSE Euronext's (NYX) Duncan Niederauer and Whole Foods Market Inc.'s (WFM) Walter Robb were among the executives who have signed on to the pledge, Schultz told CNBC.

"We aim to push our elected leaders to face the nation's long-term fiscal challenges with civility, honesty and a willingness to sacrifice their own re-election," Schultz wrote in a letter last week.
