German luxury-car brand Porsche, part of Volskwagen AG (VOW.XE), said Tuesday that Jens Puttfarcken will become president and chief executive officer of Porsche China and Porsche Hong Kong from July 2018.

China was the company's largest sales market in 2017, with more than 71,000 vehicles sold, according to Porsche.

Mr. Puttfarcken is currently CEO of Porsche Deutschland. The car maker said it hasn't yet made a decision on his replacement.
