Vivendi SE said Tuesday that its management board decided to pay out an interim dividend in kind adding to a previously approved special dividend in kind of 5.3 billion euros ($6.26 billion).

The combination enables the distribution in kind of up to 60% of the Universal Music Group share capital to Vivendi shareholders on Sept 21, the company said.

It added that the interim dividend in kind will be paid out of the company's June 30, 2021 earnings.
