Connecting Rural Communities in The Philippines

The partnership combines DITO CME’s ecosystem with World Mobile’s decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) and blockchain technology. Using World Mobile AirNodes, including some powered by Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite backhaul, the collaboration aims to deliver high-speed, affordable connectivity to the estimated 25 million Filipinos who currently lack reliable internet access.

Built on the World Mobile Chain, DTaka will feature a dual-token system offering stable-token functionality for remittances and mobile money, alongside a utility token for gamification, loyalty rewards, and other engagement activities.
