                       EFES BREWERIES INTERNATIONAL N.V.



Efes Breweries International N.V. ("EBI" or "the Company") today announced the
execution of a Bridge Facility Agreement ("Bridge Facility") among EBI, Citibank
N.A. ("Citibank"), HSBC Bank plc ("HSBC") and also Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve
Malt Sanayii A.S., the 70% shareholder of EBI, as guarantor. The Bridge Facility
provides a utilization amount up to USD 500 million.


The Bridge Facility was sourced within the framework of the debt finance
package, announced earlier on 14.02.2006, for which Citibank and HSBC were
collectively mandated. The credit is planned to be repaid within 2006 by means
of various alternative financial instruments.
