                  LE 150 MILLION BONUS SHARES

Commercial International Bank hereby announces the distribution of
LE 150 million of its General Reserves into bonus shares effective
Sunday June 21st, 1998.

Shares will be allocated pro-rata at 30% (i.e. 3 free shares for
every 10 shares) to holders of shares up to end of day June 18th, 1998
(last working day prior to the date of distribution).

Fractions will be settled in cash on the basis of the average price 
of shares on date of sale.
