Standard Life Demutualisation

Following the recent demutualisation and flotation of Standard Life, the Board
can confirm that the Company received a total allocation of 726,529 shares, to
be split between the two Pools, with the 2006 Pool receiving 394,259 shares and
the 2009 Pool receiving 332,270.  This represents a fixed allocation for loss of
membership and a variable allocation which reflects the size of the with profits
investments with Standard Life, the length of time those investments had been
continuously invested in with profits with Standard Life as at 30 March 2004,
and the type of policy.

Since the Company received all of its entitlement after the quarter ended 30
June 2006, no allowance has been made for the demutualisation in the NAV and
projections as at that date.  The total value of the shares have now been sold
on behalf of both the 2006 Pool and 2009 Pool.  Net proceeds of #906,791 and
#764,216 were received for the two Pools respectively, equivalent to
approximately 4.5p per share for the 2006 Pool and 3.9p per share for the 2009
Pool.
