The number of Income Shares of 1p in issue at the above date was 24,500,000.

The number of Capital Shares of 1p in issue at the above date was 10,500,000.



Notes:

As at 9 January 2002 the Company had invested, at cost, #43.7 million in the
securities of small UK quoted companies.  At launch on 18 December 2001, the
Company had available to it #34.3m of net proceeds from Shareholders plus #
34.3m of bank facilities, and initial NAVs were: Income Shares 50.00p, Capital
Shares 210.32p and "Notional Package" 98.10p.  At 9 January 2002 therefore the
Company had invested 64% of the total initial funds available to it.
