Disclosure pursuant to Art. 20 of the Stock Exchange Act in conjunction with
Art. 9 and 17 of the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Stock Exchanges and
Securities Trading of the Federal Banking Commission
 
Basel, 28 July 2008. Notification by B�loise-Holding, Aeschengraben 21, 4002
Basel, Switzerland.

 
B�loise-Holding wishes to announce that the number of treasury shares held by
the company fell below the threshold of 3% of voting rights on 24 July 2008.
This shortfall can be attributed to a resolution passed by the General Meeting
of 29 April 2008 to reduce share capital from CHF 5.4 m (divided into 54,000,000
registered shares, each with a nominal value of CHF 0.10) to CHF 5 m (divided
into 50,000,000 registered shares, each with a nominal value of CHF 0.10). This
reduction came into effect on 24 July 2008, and is connected with share buybacks
by B�loise-Holding (refer to media release dated 25 April 2008). The reduction
in capital is being effected through the cancellation of 4,000,000 repurchased
registered shares, each with a nominal value of CHF 0.10.
