                BOURNE END PROPERTIES PLC
                            
The Company announces that Bacon & Woodrow Trust Company
(C.I.) Limited as trustee of the Bourne End Properties
Plc Employee Share Trust yesterday purchased  500,000
ordinary shares in the Company at 46p per share taking
its holding to 854,166 ordinary shares representing 1.4%
of the issued share capital.

Chief Executive David Roberts  and Finance Director
Duncan Bain are both beneficiaries under the Trust which
holds shares awarded under the Company's Executive
Incentive Scheme.

The shares purchased yesterday on behalf of Messrs.
Roberts and Bain and their resultant holdings in the
Trust are as follows:-

     David Roberts           185,652         338,429
     Duncan Bain              72,413         133,524

The shares acquired yesterday for Messrs Roberts and Bain
represent the investment of their entire1999 annual
awards under the Executive Incentive Scheme of #85,400
and #33,310 respectively, provision for which was made in
the preliminary results for the year ended 31 December
1999 released on 27 March 2000.
