           Dotterel Limited ("Dotterel") Offer for CALA plc ("CALA")          


Further to its announcement earlier today, the Board of Dotterel announces
that it has now purchased a total of 35,187,899 CALA shares in the market. 

Taken together with the 1,839,374 CALA shares in respect of which the
Executive Directors and certain members of the CALA management team have given
irrevocable acceptances to accept the final offer and the 1,318,330 CALA
shares to be exchanged for shares in Dotterel pursuant to share exchange
arrangements and the 313,461 CALA shares held by persons deemed to be acting
in concert with Dotterel, Dotterel now owns or controls 38,659,064 CALA shares
representing 80.27 per cent of CALA's share capital.
