    Gartmore Growth Opportunities Plc (the "Company")               

 Proposal to offer a roll-over option to investors in Eaglet Investment Trust  
                                Plc ("Eaglet")                                 

The Company is pleased to announce that it has today signed a memorandum of
understanding with Eaglet under which investors in Eaglet would be offered the
opportunity to roll-over their investment in Eaglet into the Company should
Eaglet's shareholders vote for Eaglet to be liquidated at an EGM to be
convened.

Under the terms of the transaction, existing shareholders in the Company would
suffer no dilution to their underlying net asset value per share. Existing
shareholders in the Company would benefit from the greater scale of the
Company, the larger asset base over which the fixed costs of the Company would
be spread and potentially increased liquidity for their shares.

Further details of the proposed transaction will be sent to the shareholders of
Eaglet and the Company as soon as practicable following Eaglet's AGM on 11
December 2007. The proposed transaction will be subject to approval by the
Company's shareholders at an EGM to be convened.
