The Board of Directors of F&C Private Equity Trust plc announces that Ms
Elizabeth Anita Kennedy (aged 51) will be appointed as a non-executive Director
of the Company on 1 July 2007.



Ms Kennedy is a Director, Corporate Finance in the Investment Banking Division
of Brewin Dolphin Securities Limited.



She is also Chairman of Close Second AIM VCT plc, a member of the London Stock
Exchange's AIM Advisory Group and a member of the AIM Disciplinary Committee.



Mr David Simpson, the Chairman of F&C Private Equity Trust, said:



"I would like very much to welcome Elizabeth Kennedy.  She has considerable and
varied experience, and her input to the Board's deliberations will be
invaluable."
