HSBC Global Absolute Limited (the "Company") announces that on 15 April 2010 the 
Company cancelled the following treasury shares: 
·     US Dollar shares: 2,946,463 
·     Sterling Hedged shares: 1,111,337 treasury shares 
·     Euro Hedged shares: 141,792 treasury shares 
 
Following this cancellation, the Company holds no US Dollar shares, Sterling 
Hedged shares or Euro Hedged shares in treasury. 
 
The Company's issued share capital remains unchanged, and consists of 30,692,628 
US Dollar shares, 11,291,082 Sterling Hedged shares, and 8,263,856 Euro Hedged 
shares. 
 
Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 50,247,566 and 
this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations 
by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, 
or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and 
Transparency Rules.
