Jarvis plc trading update 
Jarvis plc ("the Company") is due to publish its latest half yearly report on 26 
November 2009. 
 
 
Ahead of publication the Company wishes to announce that: 
  *  The Company's Accommodation Services division is performing ahead of management 
  expectations due to the favourable settlement of historic claims. 
 
  *  One of the major contracts in its Rail division, which is nearing completion, is 
  performing below management expectations due to cost overruns. 
 
The net effect of these variations is not expected to be material. The Company 
will continue to update the market as appropriate.
