Resignation of Director

The Board of North Midland Construction plc wish to announce that Mr T J Kayes,
aged 62, has decided to retire from his position as Operations Director and that
he resigned his directorship on 24 May 2005. He will continue to be involved
with the Company on a part time basis. The Board wishes to thank him for his
loyalty, help and guidance to the Company during this period.
