QXL ricardo plc (the 'Company')



Issue of shares and notification of holdings



On 15 June 2007, a number of employees and former employees of the Company
exercised their options over ordinary shares in the Company and a total of
916,175 ordinary shares of 5p each have been issued as a result of the exercise
of these options. These shares rank pari passu in all respects with the existing
issued ordinary shares of the Company. Following the exercise of these options,
the Company has 43,591,036 ordinary shares in issue.



The Company received notification on 19 June 2007 that following the secondary
placing announced on 15 June 2007 Beleggingsmaatschappij Florissant N.V. ("
Florissant") is now interested in 7,509,735 ordinary shares in the Company. This
represents approximately 17.2% of the Company's issued share capital as
increased following the issue of the shares referred to above. The Company has
also been notified that the Izaki group of investors now hold, in aggregate,
6,683,488 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 15.3% of
the Company's issued share capital.
