                    Sports Cafe Holdings plc ('Sports Cafe')
                  Launch of Sports Cafe branded Betting Shops
                              ('Sports Cafe Bet')

Sports Cafe (AIM: SCA), the owner and operator of the Sports Cafe chain of
leading licensed sports entertainment venues, announces the launch of Sports
Cafe branded Betting Shops ('Sports Cafe Bet') the first of which will become
operational in January 2006.

Sports Cafe Bet will offer a full range of Betting shop services with a
particular emphasis on the major sports events shown in the Group's Sports Cafe
licensed venues. Whilst operated from independent sites Sports Cafe Bet shops
will be located close to the licensed premises and offer a new service to
existing customers of the Group.

The first site is already secured and will open in Broad Street Birmingham in
January 2006.

The software and operational infrastructure, including the maintenance of the
betting book is to be provided in partnership with Betting Shop Services Limited
('BSS'), a UK licensed bookmaker.

The launch of Sports Cafe Bet is in line with the Sports Cafe's aim of extending
its brand to other revenue areas related to sports and leisure. Other
opportunities are currently being assessed in these related markets.
