                        The Sports Cafe Opens in Bristol


Sports Cafe (AIM: SCA), the owner and operator of the Sports Cafe chain of
leading licensed sports entertainment venues, is pleased to announce that its
latest venue, The Sports Cafe Bristol opened on Wednesday 29 March, 2006.


The opening, attended by over 500 invited guests, represents the continuation of
Sports Cafe's strategy to roll out its venues and brand throughout the major
cities of the UK.


The Sports Cafe Bristol is situated in Baldwin Street, covers 14,000 ft2 and has
a capacity for 1,000 people. The venue has 3 bars, 16 American pool tables, over
70, TV and plasma screens, and is licensed to 4.00a.m. The opening has created
60 full and part time jobs.


The Bristol opening brings the total of operating venues to eight, the other
sites being London, Birmingham and Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and
Newcastle. A site in Cardiff is currently in development.


Commenting on the Bristol opening, Bill Balkou, Chief Executive of Sports Cafe

and maintain their position at the premium end of the market. The business has
increased turnover by 26% to #14.1m over the past year as the estate has grown
into a national operation. The continuing expansion into new locations
throughout the UK will enhance the brand as a leader in its field.
