    PURCHASE OF SHARES BY THE EMPLOYEE BENEFIT TRUST

    On 1 July 2008, the TUI Travel PLC Employee Benefit Trust ("EBT") purchased 3,515,999 shares in the market at a price of 200.46 pence
per share to satisfy future obligations of the EBT. 

    The Executive Directors of TUI Travel PLC are, amongst others, potential future beneficiaries of the EBT.
