The  Board  of  United Energy  notes the recent movement in its  share  price. 
The Company is in negotiations which may lead to a substantial acquisition that
is  expected  to constitute a reverse takeover pursuant to the Listing  Rules. 
A suspension  of  trading in the Company's ordinary shares  has  therefore  been
requested with immediate effect.  A further announcement will be made  in  due
course.
