                  WHAM ENERGY APPOINTS NEW COMMERCIAL ADVISER


WHAM Energy plc ("WHAM" or "the Company"), the North Sea oil and gas exploration
company has announced that Mick Jarvis, who is the current Commercial Director
has announced his intention to leave the Company with effect from 1st October
2006. WHAM has appointed Anthony Mulcare as his replacement in the role of
Commercial and Legal Adviser.

Mr Jarvis is scheduled to join ConocoPhillips in a senior commercial capacity,
based in Houston USA. Both Mr Jarvis and Mr Mulcare will work together between
now and 1st October to ensure a smooth handover of all current negotiations.

Tom Windle CEO of WHAM said,

"It is with great regret that we are to lose the services of Mick who has
helped WHAM through the intense growing period over the past 18 months. I cannot
overstate our appreciation of Mick's contribution to the Company. Mick leaves us
with a legacy of sound professional agreements, proven deal-making capability
and an invaluable network of industry contacts. I shall personally miss his
commercial advice and wish him all the best for the future in his new post which
seems very challenging and exciting.

"With equal but opposite measure I am delighted that WHAM has secured the
services of Tony Mulcare. He is a long-time colleague who we know well and have
worked with before. Tony will provide us with a seamless transition of the
commercial function and a continuity of expertise and dedication that can only
continue to help us grow and strengthen our industry position."

Mr Mulcare joined the industry in 1970 working with Mobil and Gulf Oil providing
a wide range of legal services. In 1984 Tony joined Amerada Hess Ltd and grew
with the company to become the Commercial Director of what became one of the UK
's largest offshore operators. In 1996 Tony formed Selsfield Consultants
advising Oil and Gas companies on legal and commercial issues in both the up and
down stream sectors. In addition to his consultancy work, Tony is the Chairman
of the Interconnector (U.K.) limited.
