The slide in oil prices appears to have been the major catalyst in bringing out the bulls. The FTSE is up 0.30% at this time, while the Nikkei ignored the rise in the yen to close 1.75% higher, as bargain hunters rushed in to scoop up undervalued exporters. The Hang Seng is in positive territory and has notched yet another high. The BSE Sensex has recorded yet another all-time high propelled higher by insatiable buyers, the rally is being attributed to the retreat in oil prices coupled with strong foreign fund participation. It's a fairly light economic day as we have only two reports on tap. First off at 8:30 a.m., the weekly initial jobless claims for the week ended November 27 will be released, and then at 10:00 a.m., October factory orders should come in at a 0.2-percent advance. After the bell today Intel (INTC) will give its mid-quarter update. As always, expect the results from this meeting to have the potential to move tech stocks.
