Dow Jones News
DuPont (DD), Suntech Power Holdings Co. (STP) and six other
companies have formed a lobby to promote solar power worldwide and
to combat complaints of low-cost solar panels being dumped on
European and U.S. markets, Bloomberg News reported Thursday.
The other companies include Siemens AG (SIE.XE), Applied
Materials Inc. (AMAT), Dow Corning, Phoenix Solar AG (PS4.XE) and
Lanco Infratech Ltd. (532778.BY), according to the report.
A complaint from SolarWorld AG against Chinese solar-panel firms
led to tariffs on panels, which could lead to increasing costs for
consumers, according to Bloomberg.
