ArcelorMittal South Africa Ltd. (ACL.JO), the country's largest steel producer, said Tuesday it is looking for new sources of iron ore as part of its efforts to better manage costs.

The company has identified a number of exploration assets and is now talking with the owners of the rights to the potential sources of ore, Nonkululeko Nyembezi-Heita, chief executive of the South African unit of ArcelorMittal (MT), told reporters during a conference call.
