)--European steel giant ArcelorMittal (MT) and Nunavut Iron Ore Acquisition Inc said Tuesday they now hold 65% of the common shares of Baffinland Iron Mines Corp. (BIM.T) after taking up an additional 4,773,400 shares of Baffinland in a public tender offer.

MAIN FACTS:

- Arcelor and Nunavut are offering C$1.50 per common share for the outstanding shares of Baffinland.

- The offer remains open until midnight on Feb. 4.
