NYSE Euronext (NYX) on Wednesday corrected problems that affected trading and the quoting of prices on its electronic Arca platform, according to the exchange company.

The issues, which first confronted traders beginning at 11:47 a.m. EDT, were resolved about an hour later and were unrelated to a series of bigger outages that hit NYSE Euronext's European markets this week, according to a spokesman.

Trading in some symbols was unavailable between 11:47 a.m. and 12:06 p.m., according to exchange notices, while some quoting was affected between 12:33 p.m. and 12:49 p.m.

The trans-Atlantic market operator was forced to shut down trade Monday and Tuesday mornings on its European platforms, owing to a software glitch.
