The new products will be introduced in the United States this month, and in Canada during the second quarter of 2008. The lubricant-delivery product line complements Timken�s ability to go beyond bearing technology and provide friction management solutions that meet maintenance needs. �Proper lubrication is critical to machine performance and component longevity, and customers routinely turn to Timken for help in extending bearing life,� said David A. Now they can use a Timken grease gun to deliver genuine Timken grease to their Timken bearings.� Research indicates that more than 50 percent of all bearing damage is related to inadequate or improper lubrication. These new lubricant-delivery products help advance Timken�s strategy to aggressively strengthen its channel presence by extending its product lines around the bearing. The guns and pumps are high-quality maintenance products that help decrease both machinery downtime and operating costs.
