Shares of power-plant operators ticked down as traders rotated into cyclical sectors. Oil and gas companies are opposing state support for nuclear power plants. The American Petroleum Institute, the Washington, D.C., lobbying outfit for U.S. oil and gas producers, has waded into local politics in Pennsylvania and Ohio to urge lawmakers not to create special payments for nuclear power plants, The Wall Street Journal reported.
