#CorbySafeRides campaign encourages
Torontonians to take a responsible consumption pledge, with the
chance to win a year of free TTC metropasses
TORONTO, Dec. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - This New Year's Eve, leave your car keys at home and
ride the TTC for free, courtesy of Corby Spirit and Wine. For the
fourth year in a row, Corby has collaborated with the TTC to
provide free rides as part of the #CorbySafeRides program, offering
complimentary, extended service beginning 7
p.m. on Saturday, December 31,
2016 until 7 a.m. Sunday, January 1,
2017.
"The CorbySafeRides message is about more than a safe ride home
on New Year's Eve – it's about
encouraging Canadians not to drink and drive all year round," said
Patrick O'Driscoll, President and
CEO of Corby Spirit and Wine. "This important campaign is part of
our bigger, ongoing commitment to raising awareness about
responsible consumption, which is at the core of everything we
do."
"New Year's Eve is one of the
busiest nights for the TTC, with more than a quarter million people
traveling with us." said TTC Chair Josh
Colle. "We are pleased to partner with Corby for the fourth
year in a row to ensure that our customers can ride for free and
get home safe on the TTC as they celebrate the New Year."
As part of the #CorbySafeRides initiative, Corby is encouraging
the public to join over 6,700 Canadians who have already taken a
pledge to not drink and drive on New Year's
Eve (and all year round). For more information about
