SWX Shear Wind Inc.

Shear Wind Inc. ("Shear Wind") (TSX VENTURE:SWX) announces today that the annual
and special meeting of Shear Wind has been moved from February 16, 2011 to April
5, 2011. The record date for the annual and special meeting will be March 1,
2011.


Shear Wind also announces the grant of a total of 1,000,000 options to Michael
Magnus, President and Chief Executive Officer. Each option is exercisable for
one common share of Shear Wind until June 26, 2012 at an exercise price of
$0.30. All of the options vested immediately.
