Homeland Security Corporation (PINKSHEETS: HSCC), a leading innovator and implementer of surveillance driven technologies, announces the design and engineering of an underground mining camera and video system for the world's largest supplier of phosphate and potash.

HSCC engineered this rugged system to upgrade the mining operations with the latest technologies to increase efficiency, productivity and safety. It utilizes real time remote video monitoring, Linux embedded DVR recording with full motion PTZ high resolution cameras designed for low visibility and dusty environments. Miners are able to observe the operation and performance of the mining machinery, adjusting controls as necessary without exposing themselves to the dangers of the immediate area being mined. The system also has IR capability that allows viewing in total darkness. It provides engineers and management real time and recorded process monitoring.

We live in an increasingly populous and prosperous world, one in which the accelerating demand for food is a powerful force. Today, the world's population is growing at a rate of about 1% per year. That means feeding an additional 73 million people each year. This poses a serious challenge to the food producers of the world. Phosphate and potash are vital soil nutrients that increase crop yields by as much as 60%.

David L. Shade, Chairman and CEO, Homeland Security Corporation, stated, "HSCC is proud that its services provide real-world benefits to our customers. We look forward to working to bring the benefits of advanced surveillance technologies to their other mining operations. We are pleased to announce this addition to our line of industrial surveillance systems and are excited about the possibilities this opens up to compete for a share of the mining market."
