Transatlantic stock-market operator NYSE Euronext (NYX) said Friday it is adding defense, electronics and aerospace equipment manufacturer Safran SA (SAF.FR) to its CAC-40 index of blue-chip French stocks following a quarterly review.

Safran is replacing French bank Natixis (KN.FR). NYSE Euronext said the changes will be effective Sept. 19.

The stock market operator said that after a quarterly review of its Amsterdam stock market equity indexes, there will be no changes in either the AEX, AMX or AScX indexes.
