                           DIVIDEND PAYMENT DATE

Further to the announcement of its Preliminary Results for 2002, The Vitec Group
plc announces that the final dividend for the year of 16.6p per share will be
paid to shareholders on 22nd May 2003.

This will be paid to shareholders on the register as at 25 April 2003 and is
subject to shareholder approval.
