AminoOS and 24i combine to deliver MOBITV service on upcycled legacy devices

Amino Technologies plc (LSE AIM: AMO), the technology provider for modern TV experiences, has announced a collaboration to deliver the leading app-based Pay TV video streaming platform, MOBITV, on upcycled legacy devices.

The solution is expected to be commercially available in Q4 2019 for the US marketplace.

AminoOS already integrates with leading online video providers and middleware solutions in the US including Tivo, Espial and Minerva, and now adds MOBITV to its pre-integrated solution portfolio.

Amino will be able to upcycle thousands of devices already deployed in the US using AminoOS Enable and 24i's SmartOPERATOR TV app. Operators will therefore be able to cost-effectively adapt to market demand for services that deliver linear channels and streaming content to multiple screens in the home or on the go.

Donald McGarva, Amino Chief Executive Officer, said:

"The collaboration between AminoOS and 24i is a good example of how the combination of Amino and 24i's product portfolio delivers cost effective solutions to our customers. By enabling operators to offer exciting next generation services such as MOBITV with a relatively modest additional investment, we are extending the life of installed devices. This represents a highly significant CAPEX benefit for our customers."
