Competition Commission's determination of Northern Ireland Electricity's price control

On 26 March 2014, the Competition Commission (CC) submitted its final
determination (including appendices) in respect of Northern Ireland
Electricity's transmission and distribution price controls which will apply for
the period to September 2017 to the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility
Regulation (UR) in accordance with Article 16(4) of the Electricity (Northern
Ireland) Order 1992 (as amended) (the Order).

Under Article 16(5) of the Order, the UR sent the CC's determination to
Northern Ireland Electricity and to the Department of Enterprise Trade and
Investment (DETI) and the UR is required to publish the report after allowing
DETI not less than 14 days to make any necessary redactions.

The content of the CC's determination will not be made available until the UR
publishes the report.
