Acquisition of mobile solutions provider 3g for #4.76 million



BNS Telecom Group plc (AIM: BTP), one of the leading providers of telecoms
services to the UK SME and corporate market, has acquired business mobile
specialists, 3g Comms Limited and its sister company 3g Landline Limited
(together '3g' or the 'Acquisition') for a total consideration of #4.76 million
in cash.



3g, based in Birmingham, is a Vodafone UK service provider specialising in
mobile voice and data solutions for SMEs and also sells a small amount of fixed
line calls.  3g was established in 2000 and reported pre-tax profits of #0.76
million on turnover of #10.34 million for the year ended 31 December 2006 and
had net assets of #1.01 million at 31 December 2006, including cash of #1.4
million.



BNS was awarded a service provider contract by Vodafone UK in March 2007, which
was one of the few new name service provider agreements issued by Vodafone UK in
recent years.  The Acquisition provides BNS with immediate scale in the mobile
voice and data market.  It will also provide BNS with a significant market
presence in the Birmingham area, allowing cross-selling opportunities for other
BNS fixed line products into the 3g customer base.



At 31 January 2007 3g had 12,982 mobile subscribers and 323 fixed line
customers.



The Acquisition will be financed through new banking facilities arranged by
Barclays Bank PLC.

acquisition of 3g is another significant step in our strategy to deliver a
converged fixed and mobile solution.  The 3g management team will stay with the
enlarged group, and their expertise, together with their customer base, provides
BNS with significant scale with Vodafone UK.



"We expect the acquisition of 3g to be earnings enhancing and 3g's strong
reputation in the Birmingham area will provide cross-selling opportunities for
the BNS fixed line business."
