PEX PLC ("THE COMPANY")

Pex plc yesterday received notification dated 8th March 1999
that  following  a  sale  of  600,000  shares  in  Pex  plc,
Hartstone  Group  PLC  now  has  an  interest  in  8,949,180
ordinary  shares in the company, representing  5.3%  of  the
issued ordinary share capital.
