Eastern United States, today announced the settlement of its
inter-exchange carrier access revenue dispute with Qwest
Communications Corporation, which ends the litigation on the matter
between the companies. As a result of the settlement, US LEC
anticipates no additional charges above those previously disclosed
in the Company's Form 10-K for the period ended December 31, 2005
