Saia Announces Improved Midwest Transit Times DULUTH, Ga., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to implement improvements to meet customers' needs, leading Less-Than-Truckload carrier Saia has announced a reduction in transit times from key points in the Midwest. The transit time improvements will go into effect August 1. The changes will mean that Saia customers will receive a 1-day improvement in delivery times on freight moving from points in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Chicago, Illinois; Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota to terminals across the south and southwest. Improved transit times will positively impact those shipments originating from the Midwest markets destined to points served by terminals in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
