Ardagh Metal Packaging S.A. and special purpose acquisition company Gores Holdings V on Wednesday said they completed their previously announced business combination, with shares of the combined company to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange Thursday.

The combined company, also named Ardagh Metal Packaging S.A., will trade under the symbol "AMBP," the companies said.

The companies said Ardagh Group will retain a stake of about 82% in AMP.

Ardagh Metal Packaging said it supplies "infinitely recyclable, sustainable, metal beverage cans and ends to brand owners." The company said it is the second-largest beverage can producer in Europe and third-largest in the Americas.
