DALLAS, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:TYL) announced today that it has signed a contract to implement its Odyssey court case management software in Clark County (Las Vegas), Nevada. The contract includes a software license for the Eighth Judicial District Court, the office of the Clark County Clerk, and the Las Vegas Justice Court. Additionally, the agreement provides for professional services, as well as maintenance and support. The total estimated value of the contract is greater than $4.5 million. Odyssey is Tyler's new generation Web-based court case management solution for the state and local government market. Under this contract, Tyler will implement the Odyssey case management software for the District Court and County Clerk's use in criminal, civil, family and juvenile court cases, and for the Las Vegas Justice Court's use in criminal and traffic cases. The system also includes electronic document management for all court documents filed in these cases, judicial assignment and scheduling, and management and assessment of court fines and fees. Tyler's Odyssey system will also provide Clark County with greatly expanded Nevada state reporting capabilities, as well as integration with various local agencies and the courts' electronic filing provider. The new system will also provide for fine payments and public access to data via the Internet. The professional services associated with the implementation that Tyler will provide include project management, data conversion, customization, configuration planning, and training. Clark County is the 17th most populous county in the United States, with 1.7 million residents. Comprised of five cities, including Las Vegas, as well as a large urban unincorporated area, Clark County has 70 percent of the state of Nevada's population. The county is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country, with more than 5,000 people moving there each month. Clark County employs over 10,000 people and has a total budget of $4.4 billion. "Tyler Technologies is honored to be selected to provide the Clark County courts with state-of-the-art technology to streamline their operations," said Glenn Smith, President of Tyler's Courts and Justice Division. "The District Court, County Clerk, and the Las Vegas Justice Court currently use a variety of vendor-provided and internally-developed applications and databases to manage their caseloads, making it difficult for the courts to manage activity that spans the various divisions. An important goal of our project involves integrating all of those various databases into a single, unified view within Odyssey Case Manager." "With this contract, three of the nation's twenty largest counties have selected our Odyssey courts software in the last fifteen months," continued Mr. Smith. "We are pleased with the momentum we are building as Odyssey continues to solidify a position as the leading courts system for large cities, counties and states."
