DALLAS, May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:TYL) announced today that it has entered into two contracts to provide property reassessment services for Butler and Clermont counties in Ohio. The total value of the contracts is more than $3.5 million. Under Ohio law, a general appraisal of every parcel of real property is mandated every six years, with an update at the three year midpoint. The purpose of the reassessment is to ensure that properties are fairly and uniformly appraised and assessed for property tax purposes. Under the new agreements, Tyler's CLT division will provide technical services to Butler and Clermont counties in connection with the 2008 sexennial reassessment. The projects are both expected to be completed in early 2008. Butler and Clermont counties are both located in the growing greater Cincinnati area of southwestern Ohio. Butler County, with a population of approximately 350,000, is the eighth-largest county in the state. Clermont County has approximately 191,000 residents, making it the 13th most populous county in Ohio. Butler County has approximately 140,000 parcels of real property with a taxable value of more than $5 billion, while Clermont County has approximately 80,000 parcels with a taxable value of nearly $3 billion.
