Tyler Technologies Signs Orion Tax Collection Software Contract with Johnson County, Kansas

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement
with Johnson County, Kansas, for Tyler’s Orion appraisal and tax
software solution to manage tax collections and billing.
“Orion is a proven CAMA and tax solution and Johnson County can
rely on our dedicated personnel to implement our solution and see
the project through from start to finish,” said Andrew D. Teed,
president of Tyler’s Appraisal & Tax Division. “The county is
also secure in its software investment because of our perpetual
license philosophy, which ensures that our solution will grow with
the county without additional licensing fees as its needs change
and technology evolves.”
Johnson County is the most populous county in Kansas with
approximately 560,000 residents. It is in the southwestern quadrant
of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The Kansas Department of
Revenue, Property Valuation Division, currently hosts Orion to
provide counties access to the browser-based computer-assisted mass
appraisal (CAMA) system.
