Fourth school district in Washington chooses Tyler’s Infinite Visions solution

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with West Valley School District #208 in Yakima, Washington, to provide its Infinite Visions® integrated financial and personnel management solution. This is the fourth client in Washington to leave the state’s cooperative for school business software in favor of Infinite Visions.

With Infinite Visions, West Valley School District #208 will benefit from centralized workflows, real-time access to consolidated, centralized data, and reduced duplication of activities, which will save staff hundreds of hours every year. Other districts in the state to benefit from Infinite Visions include Kiona-Benton City School District, Mead School District #254, and Fife School District.

“Tyler’s software is exceptional; it’s so efficient and it syncs so smoothly,” said Fife School District Director of Business Services Kari Harris. “Our decision to move to Tyler was absolutely taking a chance but not once have we ever regretted it.”

After a competitive review process, Kiona-Benton selected Infinite Visions and went live on the software during the 2009-2010 school year. Prior to implementing Infinite Visions, Kiona-Benton used manual, paper-driven processes. The school district, with 1,400 students and 250 staff, was able to eliminate paper-based pay stubs and the manual entry of substitute information with Infinite Visions, realizing an annual cost savings of approximately $60,000.

“Unlike the state-preferred product where the software is configured and then pushed out to all of the member school districts, we have a lot more options with Infinite Visions,” said Kim Scott, business manager at Kiona-Benton City School District. “I know we made the best choice with Infinite Visions.”

Designed specifically for K-12 schools, Infinite Visions assists with encumbering payroll and benefits, tracking professional development of staff, automating leave, and generating consistent budget and expenditure reports between departments. More than 1,050 Tyler clients nationwide have chosen Infinite Visions to improve the way they do business.

“Tyler’s Infinite Visions solution was designed to help K-12 school districts operate more efficiently, which includes the ability to meet unique state reporting requirements,” said Brett Cate, president of Tyler’s Local Government Division. “Tyler is dedicated to designing and supporting solutions for schools, and our evergreen perpetual license philosophy ensures that our clients have access to the latest product developments and features without having to pay for expensive upgrades.”
