At 10:20 a.m. on March 4, 2011, Daylight Energy Ltd. ("Daylight") (TSX:DAY)
experienced a well leak and fire in the Brazeau area (7-31-46-10W5M). At
approximately 3:00 a.m. on March 5th the fire was extinguished and well was
secured. 


Daylight is continuing to investigate the cause of the leak and fire. Clean-up
and remediation work will commence shortly. 


There was never any danger to the public and there were no injuries.
