Rainmaker Mining Corp. Announces Appointment of New Director
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2014) -
Rainmaker Mining Corp. ("Rainmaker") (TSX-VENTURE:RMG) is pleased
to announce that Alan Young, P. Eng., has been appointed to the
Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Young is a licensed professional engineer in Alberta with
over 35 years of experience in resource and conventional play
engineering and leadership with experience in completions;
drilling; production strategy and petroleum operations.
He is currently President of A&L Consulting Ltd. and is
engaged in contract work with resource shale play developments.
Through the course of his work on the completions aspects of a
joint venture resource play project, the 2013 hydraulic fracturing
campaign resulted in a 30% reduction in completion cost, 40%
reduction in water and improved well production and stimulation
efficiency. In addition, he recently completed domestic and
international assignments encompassing resource and conventional
play identification and evaluation. Previously, Mr. Young was the
Natural Gas Completions Manager at Suncor Energy, helping develop a
completions strategy for resource and conventional play development
and optimization. With Alan's leadership and expertise, the
application of technology and innovation resulted in a number of
Canadian and North American technical firsts and successful
application. Prior to his career at Suncor, he worked for two
senior Canadian oil and gas producers.
Mr. Young holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario and a diploma in
Mechanical Engineering Technology from SAIT in Calgary,
Alberta.
Mr. Young's appointment will fill the vacancy created by the
resignation of Bill Dynes. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Dynes for
his contributions to Rainmaker.
